ART PARNITUDOM
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Art Parnitudom is a Thai cinematographer based between New York City & Bangkok.
Known for his work in narrative films, his work is recognised by their subdued minimalism yet heightened sensibilities. Art has shot over 40 narrative short films, premiering at notable film festivals globally recognised: Short Shorts (Tokyo), Flickers Fest (Rhode Island), Ptown (Provincetown), IFFBoston, Oaxaca, ITFF (Bangkok), and more.
His work extends to commercials, shooting with major global brands: Maybelline NY, Canon, 1800 Tequila, Beyonce’s Cecred and major music labels – Beggars Music (US), What The Duck (THA).
Art’s short film (also written&directed), I MISS MY MOM & DREAM OF OUR NEW HOME (2023) premiered at Oscar-Qualifying Flickers’ Fest Rhode Island as Semi-Finalist and International Thai Film Festival 2024 winning Best Thai Short Film and later screening at the notable Anthology Film Archives.
That year, he shot the feature film BORN A STRAY, written/directed by Adel L. Morales and supported by Spike Lee.
Currently, Art is in-development on two feature films. A thriller with Amazon Studios in Thailand and his debut feature as writer/director, A Month of Sundays – in late development.
Art holds an BFA Cinematography from Emerson College & MFA Writing/Directing from NYU Tisch’s Graduate Film Program, on scholarship (TSOA + MAURICE KANBAR). He has been an active Associate Member of the Society of Camera Operators since 2016.
Art enjoys a good cry. He hopes to make films that will sit with you, in it – through it.
